WARNING: This is not a true megapixel network camera. To my dismay, after ordering and installing two of these cameras, I found 1280x960 pics can only be viewed if most other vital functions in the camera are turned off, and only through the direct web interface page. Timed picture transmission, motion detection, sound detection, and external triggers can NOT be used, at all, when the 1280x960 picture size is enabled. This means that the camera becomes nothing more that a glorified webcam and that you will be better off buying a netbook with camera and running a VNC server on it. It is very disappointing (and illegal in most European countries) that Panasonic would lend its name to this kind of marketing scam.
Furthermore, the PoE functionality is becoming rather pointless since PoE power injectors are becoming very hard to find in the market.
To sum up, stay away from this camera and go with another brand (Axis or Toshiba, for example).
Tested equipment: BB-HCM715, criticism also valid for BB-HCM735 and BB-HCM705.
