Lena and Otto Rimas, married since 1974, live in the small town of Mariannelund in southern Sweden, where they have been teaching in the various programs of the Pentecostal Bible School Mariannelunds folkhögskola since 1978.
Lena (born in 1952) is originally a nurse and also has college degrees in Pedagogics, Psychiatry, Ethics and Theology. She teaches among other things Christian Counselling, Psychology, Ethics and Christian Life.
Otto (born in 1949) is originally a social worker and also has college degrees in Pedagogics, English and Theology. He teaches among other things the New Testament, Practical Theology, Christian Social Action and Sociology.
Since 1992 they have also regularly been teaching in other countries in an educational partnership between their school and national Bible Schools in Estonia, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia. These courses are designed for leaders of various kinds and focus on areas such as Christian Faith, Leadership, Christian Counselling, Social Work and Pedagogics.
Lena and Otto formed an author couple from their very first work, published in 1978, and have since published devotionals, books on Christian counselling, books on Christian life and children's books. Otto is also a photographer, and illustrates many of the books with his photos.
They have written eleven books in Swedish, their native language. They have also written four books in English, and several of their titles have been translated into Russian, Romanian and Norwegian. Their books in the different languages are presented at www.lor.se.
