I'm not impressed here. Before I begin, the title may have mislead me, which is why I am writing this review. It has very little to do with the origins of Resident Evil, but in the case where he does discuss the games, it's either George A. Romero or Sweet Home. If you're familiar with these (or at least know that Sweet Home influenced Biohazad/Resident Evil), then I suggest you spend your money elsewhere, there's no hidden informtion here, no hefty background research.

First there's a formatting issue. Everything is centered, sometiems making it hard to follow. This mixed with random bold words is pretty distracting. Things like that bug me to death, but that's not the real problem.

The title caught me off guard. I thought it was a comprehensive look at Resident Evil over the years, offering insight and background information as to its inception, the people behind the series, amongst other things related to Resident Evil/Biohazard. Instead, it's the authors recount of his time playing resident evil.

The first portion of the book: He relives his early days in resident evil, going through each game, each experience, not giving much detail about the game itself but more about his own feelings toward the games. In one or two cases, he pretty well states he doesn't like 'this' or 'that', and they come across as issues that would normally turn a gamer off of a title/series.

The second portion of the book has some background information concerning, the games, though nothing most fans of the Biohazard series don't already know about. The author gives what I assume to be a complete script for the game 'Sweet Home', which takes up at least 40% of the volume of this book. During this time there is no narration from the author pointing out specifics or details that directly relate to the Biohazard Games.

Over all, He's obsessed with telling his story, and rarely dwelves into background material. There's alot said in this ebook, but little of any importance.
If you enjoy people talking about playing video games, this is your thing, if you came here looking for information, background and insight concerning the Resident Evil games, there's probably nothing here you don't already know.

This book honestly felt like I was reading someone's blog but with more typos. Nothing against the author cause I wouldn't of been bothered by it so much if I knew that's what it was to begin with. If you're going to have "origin" in the title then you better have a lot more information of the subject's actual origin and not just a description of what it is. I've played the games and know what happens.
