If your interested in organic shapes, Ferro-Cement, or the intense use of colour, then this is one book you need to add to your library.
I own all the books I could find on Ferro-Cement construction, and from my observations there is no-one as creative as Javier Senosiain when it comes to the use of Ferro-Cement. Everything is build-in in his designs, including; tables, couches, shelves, lights and even water facets.
The buildings are located in Mexico, who's majority seems to enjoy intense colours. If it's colour that interests you, you won't be disappointed. I have some books on Mexican architecture that show their liberal use of colour, but this book up's it's use another notch. I'm not a big fan of bright colours, but still found it quite fascinating just to see what some people can do with it.
There's also lots of photos of organic shaped buildings that are clad with interesting and sometimes intense tile, stone and brick work.
My only complaints about the book, are that it didn't have more floor/elevation plans. And the artsy fartsy language makes me ill! And I could be wrong, but it seems like there is some loss in translation, but then again, maybe I just don't like reading "pompous waffle", as one reviewer would put it.
That said, I would recommend to anyone to buy this book. I found it quite educational and the images within are good enough to make it a coffee-table book.
