From Library Journal
"Record" here refers to best performance, not necessarily the accounting of an event, so readers seeking to find a particular result for a specific year may not find an entry unless the individual set a record. (For complete lists of Olympic medalists, see the Guiness Book of Olympic Records .) What this book does contain is a myriad of computer-generated lists of best performances (e.g., most gold medals, youngest and oldest to compete). Unfortunately, the organization can be confusing, often requiring a referral back to the section introduction for an explanation of the numerical codes. This, along with the lack of an index, limits accessibility to what, otherwise, is a wealth of information. William H. Hoffman, Ft. Myers-Lee Cty. P.L., Fla.
