Shamanism begins as a personal revelation and inner healing, then evolves into a striving for balance and healing into the Earth itself. Many spiritual seekers are interested in shamanism because it is a spiritual path that can be followed in conjunction with any religion or other spiritual belief without conflict. Shamanism has not only been practised by Native Americans and African cultures - for centuries, it was practised by the Europeans, including the Celts. This text presents a workable, modern form of Celtic shamanism that should help raise the reader's spiritual awareness. The book offers specific exercises and techniques to develop spiritual awareness and ties with the natural world: shape-shifting; divination by the Celtic Ogham alphabet; Celtic shamanic tools; travelling to and using magick in the three realms of the Celtic otherworlds; empowering the self; and journeying through meditation.

... to buy this book if you are looking for good information related to Celtic Paganism. You won't find it here. What you will find is another attempt to put a veneer of "celticism" over Wiccan spirituality and pass it off as Celtic Paganism. Once again DJ Conway shows her inept knowledge of the Celts and *REAL* Celtic spirituality and cranks out a book aimed at those who want to "learn to be a Celtic Pagan in 5 easy steps" without any real background information on who the Celts were and how their outlook on life and Cosmology differs from the Greco-Roman outlook and our Western viewpoint today. If you want to learn a Wiccan spirituality that is painted with pretty Celtic designs and motifs, then by all means buy this book. If you are looking for a book that offers information about who the Celts were and a sound method of exploring the possibilities of Modern Celtic Paganism, then look elsewhere.

This book is an incredible tool for changing the way you look at the world. The further I progressed through the book the more personal change and growth I experienced. I truly felt moved by the meditations. I would not recommend this book to those who get so wrapped up in "historical" accuracy and those things which exist only in the world of Abred. If you strive for personal growth and spiritual attainment- BUY THE BOOK!

Wirklich gut gemacht. Ohne viel Tam tam und Rumgerede. Ein praktisches Arbeitsbuch. Ich arbeit seit 30 Jahren mit meiner Spiritualität und dies ist das erste Buch das ich wirklich einmal von vorne bis hinten durchgearbeitet habe und das mir im Bereich schamanismus zu sehr vielen Einsichten und Erkenntnissen verholfen hat.
