I only read one previous E. Lynn Harris book (can't remember which one) and enjoyed it. This seemed a lot less serious than the other one. It reminded me of Sidney Sheldon, only shorter. The bad guys went over the top toward the end, which seems to be the standard in this type of book (come on . . . attempted murder?) but it was fun, if predictable (how many of you knew what was coming next when Yancey asked her ex why his sister wouldn't continue taking care of the baby?) I was actually glad it wasn't too long, because I was determined to finish it quick so I could find out what happened!
