A friend of mine (a model who has worked with the photographer who wrote this book) got an advance copy and let me take a look at it. I didn't really know what to expect, but I was pretty impressed after going through it.
The photographer (who has been taking artistic photos of women for a few years now) hired 9 female models (from 20 to 40 years old) to basically just be themselves (instead of being models). He photographed each one in everyday, but intimate settings, then he interviewed them to learn some personal details. He edited the interviews into little "stories" about each one, and presents them along with photographs of them in the nude, in their underwear, or in some cases, clothed. The photos show them doing everyday things like dusting, laundry or just being silly.
I've never really seen anything quite like this before. Their stories were very interesting (some of them are real characters), and the photographs were well done, artistic and tasteful. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who wants to know a bit more about how women think, or who just appreciate the beauty of women!
