Full of suspense - I couldn't put it down

This was a fantastic book. You really get a feel for the plight of the characters and what daily life is like for many African citizens. In fact, there is enough historical accuracy to almost make you think the book could have been based on a true story. It's graphic, but not in a senseless gore, horror movie kind of way. But I wouldn't recommend it for someone with a delicate conscience for that sort of thing. This book is full of action and suspense, and it really keeps you wanting more. I think it would make a fantastic movie -- in fact, I'd be surprised if someone hadn't already snatched up the movie rights! There are so many twists and turns, surprises and suspense-filled moments.
If I had anything negative to say about this book, it's that twice the author called the character "Jacob" by a different name: once "Erik" and once "Erid". And I wish it could have ended differently for a couple characters (I can't say more than that without giving too much away). But overall, I highly recommend this book!

Having read invisible armies by jon evans i have been searching for another of his books. This one does not disappoint. Great pace from start to finish, plot is great and the scenes are set well. WOuld recommend to anyone looking for a good thrilling adventure.

This book seemed like a good adventure story and it was a free download. It actually was pretty good to begin with, but becomes too violent for my taste. If you don't mind blood, gore, and lots of profanity you might like this book.
