Following "Plum Island" and "Lions Game" this book continues the 'life' of John Corey. He's still at the ATTF and still good for a shipload of nice one-liners. The story is a little strange this time, but brings up a lot of good questions about the world in these years. But this is an adventure book and it stays interesting all the time, so I finished it in one streak. As always the persons are quite realistic and complicated. The story itself is not realistic, but close enough to follow the "what if" kind of fantasy. Some minor technical inconsitensies, no problem. The writing is a little to political correct sometimes, but still readable :) ... The ending is quite a hit, predictable if you catch a hint or two at the beginning and of course the author is unable to answer all questions he put in the air, but that's also clear from the beginning since he is using a real event for this book and that event seems still to hold unanswered questions. Good reading. "Plum Island" and "Lions Game" were better, but not that much.
