From ancient times, wolves have been mythologised as ferocious and predatory beasts. In Never Cry Wolf conservationist Farley Mowat sets out to correct the stereotypes. Using his observations of a Canadian wolf pack, Mowat paints a sensitive picture of the wolf as a mild tempered and graceful animal with strong familial bonds and a taste for small prey rather than livestock. Whilst the scientific basis of some of Mowat's conclusions has been contested, this affectionate and humorous account provides an intimate understanding of wolf behaviour, and has provoked readers to fight for the preservation of these majestic creatures. i read this book because of my "matura" and in my opinion it is very good written. the reader learns many things about wolves and Farley Mowat tried to present the wolves as loving parents and couples. he showed, that they arn't bloodthursty animals and kill where ever they are. i liked it very much and everyone who likes wolves should read it and should try to understand them better.

At the begining of this story Mowat gets droped of in the Wilderness with all his supplies. He was all by him self. He stayed at that same exact spot for about two days. Didn't know what to do or where to go. Till he met Otek he took him to his little Bunkhouse and let him stay there for his tests with the wolf. Otek teached Mowat a lot about the Wolf. And Mowat tweached Him English. I think the way Mowat describes the differnts between the Wolf and the humans is really good. He tries a lot of things that the Wolf does. Like he eats mice, he makes mice stwee and all kinds of other things and he actually likes it. He tries to undestand the Wolf more and he really does live like the Wolf does. Anyways, this is a really good book and it's worth to read it. The bgining is kind of slow but then after the 5 chapter it gets cvery good and it's hard to lay the book down.

I enjoyed Never Cry wolf because it gives you interesting facts about wolves. Throughout the entire book the author shows you how wolves are misunderstod and pose no threat to man. I particularaly liked the wolves reaction to the authors mishaps. The comparison between people and wolves shows you how intelligent wolves are...(smarter than some people i know...namley, whoever is reading this review) That is why I give this book 4 stars
