It seems that all kinds of surface visuals can be labeled as a craft. The latest addition to such now well-accepted techniques as faux and decorative painting is nail art--whether or not it's recognized by renowned institutions. One of the more practical and most helpful sections features the elements of a good manicure and pedicure, aided by great close-up color photographs and professional tips--for instance, nail buffing stimulates blood flow, use acetone-free nail enamel remover to avoid dehydration, and more. Otherwise, the focus is on re-creating more than 40 styles, ranging from the perfect French polish to an embedded diamond stud. Directions are clear, relying primarily on visually arresting photographs.
