This edition has been updated to reflect the 2010 NCLEX-RN test plan and contains all types of alternate-format questions, including the two types introduced for the 2010 test plan: graphic option questions and audio questions. Audio questions are available online on thePoint.lww.com. The first section offers studying and test-taking strategies and describes the test format in detail, including alternate-format questions. Information for international students and graduate nurses taking the NCLEX-RN is also included. Subsequent sections cover each of the five major areas in nursing practice: adult care, psychiatric care, maternal-neonatal care, care of the child, and professional issues. The book also includes six comprehensive examinations--75 questions each, for a total of 450 questions--with answers, rationales, and client-needs category information at the end of each test.

This book is great for practice but the quality of the questions aren't up to par with my other NCLEX books. I found going through the questions a bit mundane since they ask you the same things in different words on the same page quite a few times. I don't expect the real thing to be this easy. I'm glad I borrowed the book before I went out to buy it. I didn't feel that this book would help me at all if I used it alone so I would recommend buying better books with harder questions. I did like the format of the answers being on the other side of the page next to the questions. It's less flipping to check your answer. It doesn't break each system into its diseases which bothers me since Lippincott does and I am able to see which disease I need to focus on.

If your looking for a book that has tons of Practice NCLEX Questions, this book has it! It is strictly just questions. There is no review content at the beginning of the chapter. The content is broken up into different systems or topics, so it's great for nursing students to you for preparing for a test. The answer and rational are on the same page opposite the question so you can check your answer and move on the the next question. There are also quite a few comprehensive test at the end of the book. There's a code in the front of the book that can be used online on their website to access more content, and hundreds more questions. The questions range in difficulty and there is also alternative format questions as well. This book is very well setup and has been a lifesaver for me as a nursing student.

This is a great supplement. This book has good practice questions and is also great to study for exams while in Nursing school.
