Wenn man mal den ganzen Blödsinn über die angebliche Moleskine-Geschichte vergisst (wer sich im Internet umsieht findet genügend Seiten darüber, dass das eher ein Werbegag denn tatsächliche Historie ist), dann sind die Hefte wirklich empfehlenswert. Ich verlasse mich seit Jahren nur auf Notizbücher von Moleskine. Und während die billigen vom Diskounter bei mir eine Lebenserwartung von wenigen Wochen haben, überstehen die Moleskines wirklich jegliches Chaos und sogar meine ungeschickten Hände.

My favorite Moleskine

I've tried a half dozen Moleskine products over the past 7 or 8 years, and this one is my favorite. It's square-ruled, which is a must for me (making lists, I like having a column to align with, and engineering sketches "belong" on a grid). Compared to the pocket-sized products, this one is large--the trade off though is in writing comfort. But "large" is a misnomer--a legal pad is Large. This is 5"x8.5", so it's just large enough. I prefer the thinness and flexibility of this product over the hard-bound elastic-banded products, too. Thicker Moleskines mean that I'm carrying around a lot of old notes, plus they just take up more space in a bag. For me, having a thin notebook that I replace every few months is preferable. To each his own, however, that's the beauty of the broad Moleskine product line.

The Moleskine Cahier Journal Series is one of my most use sketchbooks.
As an artist that mostly draws with pen and colored pencils, who has lots of random ideas, a small sketchbook is very, very necessary. I do have big sketchbooks that are fancier with thicker paper, but it is quite bulky to bring them with me everywhere I go.
The pocket size plan journal is what I've using recently, I would draw something everyday to go with my daily gratitude journal. It is easy to carry, and not as much pressure as the fancier sketchbook where you think you can't make any mistakes (ha)........
For someone doing watercolor, this book is not for you. I use Sharpie Pen or Micron Pen by Sakura for the outline, Blick and Prismacolor colored pencils to color or shade. The pens won't bleed through the paper, but of course you will be able to see them from the other side of the paper. This is why I would only draw on one side of the paper.
So far I am very happy with this little book, and I purchased some with squares to add different feeling to my future art works.
I will for sure continue using the Cahier Journal Serie.

This product is nice, but kinda pricey. You could probably find a cheaper and similar replacement for this item at any artist/crafstman store.
but, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT FROM AMAZON, GO ELSEWHERE.
I ORDERED IT AND I WILL RECEIVE IT in about THREE WEEKS.
I've been getting HORRIBLE business practice from amazon lately, as a buyer and seller, and I spend large amounts of money on this site.
