It has come to my attention that being a member of Generation Y and using an actual paper planner makes me an outcast and freak. That being said, I am at peace and have no plans of changing my ways.
I bought this exact Moleskine planner for the first time in January 2013 and, after using it for the entire past year, I have just purchased the same one for 2014. At first I was apprehensive that the small size (3.5 x 5.5") would not provide adequate writing space, but the planners I'd used in the past were larger and, as a result, I didn't end up carrying it with me as often, which kind of defeats the purpose.
The layout is simple and minimalist, so I never felt short on writing space. (I also have a hunch that its compact size makes my handwriting instinctively smaller than usual). I like the attached ribbon bookmark, which allows you to easily open to the current week. I'm also a fan of the elastic band that keeps the planner securely closed when it's not in use, preventing the pages from getting beat up during transport. The cover is constructed of quality leather in great color options, and the little accordion pocket on the inside of the back cover is perfect for stashing important and easy-to-misplace things in the short-term, like business cards or dry cleaning pick-up slips.
I am planning on purchasing this exact planner every year for all of the foreseeable future!
