LOVED this book! As a single woman in my late 20's this book is filled with aha moments that have come in handy already. Who knew you could get red wine out of a white couch? Or when the cork goes into the wine bottle, to use a coffee filter to fix the problem. I've also started putting tweezers in my car, because Jane Buckingham is SO RIGHT! You do see those unwanted stray chin / eyebrow hairs best when the light is shining...
Definitely recommend this book. Its laugh out loud funny, honest and filled with information to get anyone out of Sticky Situations!! Its become my own personal "survival guide".

Your BFF in a Book

You need to get this book. It is hysterical, interesting, enlightening and all together, on so many levels, too true!
Imagine if you could....that you are able to roll up your ultimate BFF and carry her around. This book would be her!
The moment I received the book...I was drawn in.
This is not a regular read cover to cover book but rather a reference book of pretty much anything you can imagine. With chapter titles such as:
* Sticky Situations in Love
* Sticky Situations in Weddings
* Sticky Situations in Parties
* Sticky Situations in Beauty
You will find yourself laughing and relating to many of the scenarios and situations presented in this book. In fact, some of them are so silly or downright embarrassing you might be really grateful that there is now proof that others have experienced the situation too. You know it is just awful when you feel like you are the only one to have done something dumb, doesn't it?
My favorite section was Sticky Situations in Your Family. Now, don't get me wrong I have a wonderful family...both the in-laws and the outlaws...but sometimes well, you just find yourself in "those" kind of situations....such as "Your family expects you to name your baby after a particular family member, but you dont' want to" or "You woke up and realized your kids are just plain spoiled" and "You're fighting with your siblings or step-sibling over an inheritance"
In situation after situation you will see yourself or someone you know. Jane has done a wonderful job in creating honesty, humor and lighthearted way at looking at life. This is not Jane's first book as she is also the author of The Modern Girl's Guide to Life and The Modern Girl's Guide to Motherhood. Pick them up and enjoy!

nothing too sticky

THE MGGTSS covers it all, all the sticky details. there is nothing too sticky for the author. what a great girlfriend advice book as well as a fun gift to give. a couple of my gal pals and I have had quite a laugh playing with the book. almost like we've created the Sticky Situation game. Great fun, good read, I wish she was back on TV with her modern girl's guide and this. 5 stars for the girls.
