Belle Winters is an archaeologist who finds herself stranded on a desert island after pirates raid her dig and leave her partner gravely injured. She is rescued by a sheikh who takes her back to his country Q'roun. After she is kidnapped by bad guys, her sheikh boyfriend trades a valuable necklace for her release and tells her they must pretend to marry because his people would be upset that he gave away this valuable relic for a stranger. Belle agrees, and they are married. He eventually gets the necklace back from his evil relative and the two are happily ever after.
This was an average HQ manga. I wasn't convinced the hero and heroine loved each other and despite the hero's protectiveness there wasn't a lot going on in this relationship. Belle spends a lot of time acting helpless, being captured and tied up too which is annoying. She is an adult archaeologist, not a child. I prefer heroines who rescue themselves and do not rely so much on others to rescue them when they get in a fix. I also didn't feel any sort of 'love between' these two characters at all and the reason they got married seemed a bit silly.
I've read better HQ manga. This was just lacking in substance.
