Kurzbeschreibung

When fate forced Hannah Sorrento to take on the management of indie rockers, Storm, she managed to survive but, when she found out she'd been played by their mercurial front man, Jack Colt, the betrayal hit her hard.

She flees to Tokyo, where her father orchestrates a deal to save their collapsed financial empire. A deal that involves a gorgeous millionaire.

Tamaki is everything Jack isn't and, with their similar backgrounds, he and Hannah form a bond. He offers her safety and security as well as a return to her luxurious lifestyle. But the passion Jack arouses in Hannah won't be denied.

In the sequel to Bad Boy Rock Star, can Hannah forgive Jack or will she take the sanctuary Tamaki offers?

4.0 von 5 Sternen Great follow up to Bad Boy Rock Star! 26. März 2014

Complimentary copy provided by author for an honest review.

I’ve been waiting for more of Hannah and Jack since I finished Bad Boy Rock Star, and Bad Boy vs Millionaire did not disappoint. We pick up a little after the end of Bad Boy Rock Star and find Hannah in Japan to find out why she was summoned by her father, and to clear her head about everything with Jack.

Hannah feels that something is “off” when she meets up with her dad after a weird run in with Tamaki and now her dad’s taking her shopping for expensive clothes and she’s going to dinner with Tamaki and his father. Her dad is forcing her to spend time with Tamaki and even though he seems nice, her heart really isn’t in it.

When Hannah gets back to the US things are a little stressed with her and the band, and Tamaki follows her back. Basically putting Hannah in a love triangle she does not want to be in. Jack wants her, she wants Jack, Tamaki wants her, but she doesn’t really feel him, but is trying to do what she believes is right for her father. When Jack gives her an ultimatum, I’m sure she is going to do one thing, and I get pissed.

Not until the very end do we know how it all plays out, but there are times you like Tamaki and other times you want to slap him, you begin to wonder if he even cares about Hannah or if she’s just property to him.

Things are crazy in this book, and Candy J. Starr has you guessing every chapter where its going or what is going to happen. I loved getting Angie’s POV in this book as well. I loved having her insight into everything that was going on, and she’s just a great character, and I’m happy to know we are getting Angie’s story!

I can’t wait till the next book to see if Hannah truly is OK with her decision and how everything plays out. This book was awesome, and I could not put it down, I wish though we would have had some more Jack… I mean c’mon, I love, love, love him!!

If you haven’t picked up the Rock Star Bad Boy series, you should definitely add them to your TBR list, the stories so far are pretty amazing, and I’ll definitely be one clicking anything Candy writes.

1.0 von 5 Sternen Why ???? 29. März 2014
Von Bewaji - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I know it is not easy to write. It is Hard core. I dove my hat to writers. The thing is for this book why write when you cannot do at least a little bit of justice to your plot? This is a lame story line. The dialogue is childish and the characters are not defined or likeable. Events are confusing. Decisions made by the characters are asinine. In all? Lame.

Jack and Hannah are just these characters that do the most lame and annoying thing. Like making out with others to make a point? I thought this second book will be better than the first one, but it is even worse. Having 'rock star' in the title of a book to point readers to read is one thing, to actually deliver a good storyline is another. This is murky stuff here. Then the cliffhanger is so unnecessary and redundant.

2.0 von 5 Sternen Don't bother 7. April 2014

This book is just so bad. The writing is poor, the editing is poorer, and the plot could have been great in the hands of a capable writer, but that writer is not Ms. Starr.

Hannah is about as lame an air-head as ever was. She lets crap happen to her, ends up on dates she doesn't want to go on, living next door to a man she wants nothing to do with, and winds up engaged to him because... she has nothing better to do? I don't know, really, how else I'm supposed to see the situation.

Colt is as big a moron as Hannah. He never says what he means. He flips back and forth and back and forth on the issue of Hannah, but we never really see any internal conflict on his part. This makes him less sympathetic and more of a jack ass.

The plot here is thin, and the author tries, but she just doesn't have the chops. She might have been able to pull it off if this were a short story, but she goes for novel length and it's not good.

If Ms. Starr wants to write books, she ought to take a couple of creative writing classes at her local community college. Things like plot development, dialogue, continuity, and description have to be learned in order to create readable, enjoyable books.

3.0 von 5 Sternen Who wrote this book? 30. März 2014
Von Kim - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

Ok. So...the last book ended with the text from her father saying "come to Thailand," and this book starts out in a train station in Tokyo. This change of location is never explained. Also, partway through the book she refers to her ex- boyfriend as Todd although his name was Tom up until that point. This book also contained much more swearing (which doesn't offend me) which was out of character as there was very little use of the f-word in the first book. The storyline wasn't bad, if one can suspend a modicum of disbelief- the need for the marriage was never explained and seems unlikely- but it was as if the author of this book was not the same person who wrote the first one in the series.

PS- emanate and emulate are different words with different meanings.

4.0 von 5 Sternen Book to full of new twists and turns in plot 29. März 2014
Von Nancy - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

Hannah's dad gets pulling his weight in this one. Hannah is put in situations she is unaware of but she finally steps up and holds her own with him for the most part. This book has some twists to the plot that leaves the readers anxious for book 3.

Both Kindle download books 1 & 2 have editing issues with the word "bought" being used instead of "brought" throughout them. I'm not certain this is a software conversion issue or what but it is easily correctable.
