In diesem Buch räumt Marisa Mackle auf sehr humorvolle Weise mit allen Illusionen auf, die man sich über den Beruf einer Stewardess so machen könnte. Schon allein dafür lohnt es sich, das Buch zu lesen. Doch auch die "Beziehungskiste", um die es in diesem Roman geht, soll hier natürlich nicht unerwähnt bleiben: Am Anfang baut die Autorin gekonnt das Traumszenario von so manch einem weiblichen Teenager auf: Stewardess Katie trifft Fernsehstar Adam. Ein gutes Ende nimmt diese Begegnung nicht. Trotzdem gibt es ein happy end, bei dem die sympathische, witzige Heldin Katie schließlich in die Arme eines echten Traummannes sinkt. Die Geschichte ist zwar relativ vorhersehbar, aber auf unnachahmliche Weise erzählt.

I am a UK amazon customer and have started copying my reviews onto here to help support the indies/less well known authors. Here's what I said on amazon.co.uk:

This is the second book I have read from this author. I bought this after enjoying Mr Right for the Night and while I definitely enjoyed this, I think I preferred Mr Right for the night. Parts of this book were great- particularly the glimpses into the highs and lows of life as an air stewardess and the conversational tone which makes you feel like you're chatting with a friend over coffee, but all in all it just wasn't quite as good as the other book I've read by this author. I would certainly recommend this to people looking for a light hearted holiday read, but I would also suggest you look at Marisa Mackle's other work too. After reading two books by this author, I do have to say though that she seems to suddenly rush towards an ending each time, which is a shame. In both books I've read they have been progressing nicely and I've been really enjoying them and then suddenly they are quickly wrapped up and rushed into the ending you knew was coming all along. This is a bit of a shame and spoils the enjoyment slightly, but I still really like this author and intend to buy more from her because I love the plots and characters she creates, even if her execution isn't always perfect.

I read this recently on a train journey and would recommend it as a light/fun read. It's lighthearted, tongue in cheek, and probably got more than a grain or two of truth in it if the truth be told. I'd love to ask Marisa how much of her book is based on fact and how much on fiction. I guess we'll never know...

Thoroughly recommend this book - a prefect read for the plane/train home for Christmas and/or New Year.

This is a lovely light-hearted read with plenty of amusing incidents as you would expect from an airline story. The story is told in the first-person narrative and is sweet and descriptive. If you're looking for a good vacation book then this would be a fun book if you're just laing about in the sun by the pool or on the beach. A great summer read.
