Just finished my 70-667 exam and failed pretty miserably. Honestly, this book will not prepare you to take this exam in the least. The example test questions are no where near what you receive in the test nor remotely prepare you for the exam. I honestly took every practice exam in this book after a week long course and felt well prepared for the exam. I was massacred!! I can't talk about the exam obviously because of the NDA, but honestly do not purchase this book. You are better off buying the Wrox Professional SharePoint 2010 Administration and doing examples with a VM.

Great foundation on which to build

This book provides a great base-of-knowledge for anyone considering taking 70-667, but --- like anything of this nature --- it has its good and bad points. BTW: I took and passed 667.
GOOD: The author gets in to the nuts-and-bolts of all areas of SharePoint 2010. If you're not as familiar with 2010 as you'd like, or you're coming from a MOSS background, this book is a definite help.
BAD: The questions aren't really of the type you see on the exam. HOWEVER, they'll still make sure you know this foundational knowledge.
Overall, it's a great 2010 book, but only an average 70-667 prep book. If you supplement this book with the practice test from MeasureUp you'll be a lot better off.

This is the only official preparation guide I could find since Microsoft's Exam guide is still not available. I have taken several Microsoft technical exams including 2 for SharePoint 2007 and the format of the practice questions from this guide steers away in a big way. I would say this book is more of a reference for understanding concepts but defenitely not an exam preparation guide that mirror's Microsoft style of technical certification exams. I am very dissapointed in having purchased this book.
