Produktbeschreibungen

From Booklist

Andersen's bio doesn't add a lot that's new to the canon of Jacksonmania, despite the prepublicity hype. Still, this pithily written book, bolstered by interviews with key players, does a good job of pulling the Jackson story together and putting Michael's weirdness into context. Although Andersen has few doubts that Jackson was indeed guilty of pedophilia, the villain of the piece isn't Michael, but rather Michael's father, Joe, a womanizer and an abuser who beat his kids into submission. If Michael's desire is to never grow up, {…}a la Peter Pan, it comes directly from his fear of what a man is, as represented by Joe Jackson. Andersen's reportage is best in the chapters about the child sex-abuse allegations and even offers the specific physical characteristics police were looking for when they photographed Michael. (Alas, a rumored Winnie-the-Pooh tattoo remains unconfirmed.) There are also details of the $26 million out-of-court settlement. As for Michael's latest incarnation as a husband, the book's publishing date only allowed for one brief chapter that summarizes this amazing turn of events. Andersen shouldn't throw away his notes. More than any novel, this book demands a sequel. Ilene Cooper

From Library Journal

True, Anderson has written a best-selling unauthorized biography of Madonna, but the material girl is not one to shun publicity. Who knows what secrets Anderson can uncover about the reclusive (and recently wed?) Jackson, but the publisher does promise that he will discuss Jackson's controversial relationship with the children who visited him at Neverland.

Absolute trash. World's Longest Tabloid Article. DO NOT BUY! 20. Februar 2006
Von Colleen Liebrich - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
I bought this book at a flea market for 2 dollars. I want my money back, the whole thing is this guys opinion. Great for toilet paper, very absorbant. No valid sources at all, its all lies. The pictures are good but he tries to turn them into something they aren't. ALSO, he took the smooth criminal music video and the Thriller music video and tried to convince the readers that Michael Jackson has an obsession with "The mafia and the occult". I mean what the --c-?! This guy tells you Michael Jackson enjoys relieving himself in his pants. Seriously, how does somebody find that out!? He also tries to convince you that Michael Jackson was the cause of Benny Hills death, but gives no explanation at all!!! As I said earlier, unless you WANT to waste 5 days of your life then go ahead but I am utterly disgusted at the perversion that this man substains. Some of the "sources" that are the people he asked ARENT EVEN REAL PEOPLE. Don't waste your time effort or money on this world's longest tabloid article. It's garbage, and so is the author that wrote this.

horrible! 1. Juli 2009
Von Wooland - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
It is one of the most disgusting book I have read. Just cheap. I got through about more than a half of this book, tried to finish it, but at some point it got so bad than I just put it down, luckily I didn't buy it, borrowed from the library. Don't waste your money! Only gossip, only scandal, like reading tabloids.

Untitled 6. Oktober 2009
Von Snowflake* - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format:Taschenbuch
Found the book in a used book store located in a small town, and bought it for $3.50, in early October 2009.

The book answered at least one of my burning questions: What brands of make-up did Michael Jackson wear? Page 253-254 (soft cover 1995 edition) says: "After affixing his false eyelashes, he always applied the same cosmetic brands: Fashion Fair, Honey Glow, and Lancome eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner."

I am wondering how the D.A.'s office got an acquittal on Mr. Jackson if the witnesses and events detailed in this book are accurate. Even if these witnesses were paid-off by Mr. Jackson, would not the truth prevail on the strength of the facts in this book if it was based on pure facts? I guess, I need to find out what really happened between 2003 and 2005 (the second time the charges came around and the criminal trial) in order to figure out what the material in this book is about. But, the acquittal does not give this book much credibility or credence as it stands, at this point in time. Furthermore, I don't know of any further allegations made with respect to Mr. Jackson and child molestation.

Note: An acquittal means that a Defendant was found "not guilty" based on the evidence presented at trial. Theoretically, a Defendant can be guilty although the evidence adduced at trial did not lead to a guilty verdict. But, once acquitted, the person cannot be deemed whatever the charges were such as murderer if the person was charged for murder. I believe it is defamatory to call a person "murderer" if he or she was acquitted of such charges.
But, who's going to sue for defamation-Michael Jackson is dead. Well, anyone with legal standing associated with his Estate or Trust, such as trustees, special administrators, guardians, and beneficiaries, can bring lawsuits. But, I am not a lawyer, so please check this out this info for yourself.
