Kurzbeschreibung
Whether he wished it or not, his skills with a sword have made him a legend.
Now his worst fears have come to threaten the existence of his nation. Though he is but one sword, Apatos must find the right place to sever the ties that bind the mighty army of the Megazaurs together or everything he believes in is lost including the woman he loves.
But to do so means unleashing a fury that could destroy his heart forever.
Megazaur is an epic fantasy that places dinosaurs in an ancient Greek—like world, comparable to Achilles in the Battle of Troy. It is set on the tropical world of Prehysteria, a planet where a group of men ordained by the gods, have learned to control and make the dinozaur a slave to their will: the Megazaurs.
But in a past war, a group of slaves escaped the grasp of the Megazaurs to form a new nation that rejects the order of the father god and are denied the ability to become dinosaur riders themselves. Well aware that the gods have ordered their destruction at the hands of their former masters, the 13th omada must remain vigilant and place their hope in the three heroes, when the war they fear finally comes to their lands.
Apatos is knight in the 13th Omada blessed by the gods with a sword wielding talent on par with the legendary Achilles of old. He has never wanted to be a hero, just make good on his vow: to make the enemy feel the bite of his blade before he falls. He tells Alexsey that his blood "Is none too precious to spill for his nation, if it helps ensure their survival.
Lowly Knight—Commander, Alexsey, the officer in charge of the office of wizardry, meets Apatos at a sword duel and decides to arrange for his transfer to his office. He thinks Apatos is too special to waste serving on the walls guarding their nation. He is not alone. Aramore the young--woman leader of their nation, feels the sam after falling in love with Apatos at first sight.
But the Supreme Commander of the 13th omada army has other ideas. After he finds himself at odds with Aramore of his handling of the vicious Necroraptors terrorizing the Fruit Valley, he decides to send Alexsey and Apatos to handle the problem as a way to lower Aramore's standing in the Senate.
The plan almost backfires when Aramore makes a surprise visit to the Fruit Valley to show her people her support. The Necroraptors attack her convoy and only a last second rescue by Apatos saves her life.
Alexsey and Apatos with the help of former banished Megazaur, named Beowe, finally succeed in vanquishing the raptors. They return to their city as conquering heroes which culminates in the marriage of Apatos to Aramore.
But the joy of their victory is short lived. While testing the latest military contraption produced by Alexsey's crazy mind, they discover the sum of their worst nightmares. The Megazaurs led by a T—Rex Rider named Zatrex, have set aside their petty squabbling and are bringing an army to destroy the 13th Omada as the gods have ordained.
As this army of Armageddon appears on the doorstep of the 13th Omada, the three heroes scramble to try and save their nation. And Apatos learns a terrible truth. His god given talents come with a heavy price, one that might prove to be his undoing and lead to the fall of the nation he has sworn to protect at all costs.
The author has combined his passion for mythology, ancient Greece and dinosaurs into a "Star wars"-like epic that will have your heart trembling. The dinosaurs are not the mindless killing monsters of past popular literature, but real, living breathing characters that battle alongside their human counterparts in their struggle to survive.
