Meditate and Declare

Are you ready to grow in your walk with God like you've never experienced before? Are you prepared to begin to actively and purposefully live a dead-to-sin lifestyle? Meditate and Declare is a Christian book that clearly shows the scriptural foundation for meditation on the Word of God and the correct use of declarations in our lives so that we can begin to be more Christ-like and impact our world the way that Jesus intended. The Apostle Paul wrote a total of 13 books, 7 of which are included in this book. The format in each of these chapters is to include an important passage or concept that Paul addressed and then provided for you are thoughts to meditate on and declarations to begin to declare over your life and the lives of those in your sphere of influence. The hope of this author is that you will learn by example how to extrapolate key concepts from the Word of God and begin to meditate on those concepts and in turn begin to actively and boldly in faith “speak those things that are not as though they were” fully believing that the God who spoke the universe into existence will begin to move for, in, and through you to impact our world for His Glory.

In this book you will discover…
• A deeper walk with God through contemplative prayer.
• The Bible’s instruction on meditation.
• A productive relationship between meditation and prayer.
• The power of prayer that is informed by the word of God.

About the Author

Lynn is an honor graduate from a two-year Bible training school through End Time Glory Ministries. She is married, has two children and two well-loved grandsons. She has a passion to see the people of God grow in the entirety of the depth and height of all that Jesus died to give them. Not only does Lynn write, but she is an excellent public speaker and teacher of the Word. As the Apostle Paul showed us, it doesn’t matter what your station or circumstance in life might be; there is complete freedom and victory available to each of His Children in all things.

If you've wondered if there is a place for meditation alongside Christianity, then this is the book for you. The author clearly distinguishes biblical meditation and contemplation from non-Christian meditation –¬ this is good book for new and mature believers.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Challenging and insightful 18. April 2012

Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a pastor and this book was very challenging and insightful. Meditate and Declare was written by my mother. It wasn't easy to forget this because I could hear her voice in my head as the words came alive. The way this book is written echoes my Mom's personality and deep faith. This book is a practical and insightful look at the spiritual journey of the Apostle Paul. The book becomes very applicable as we are given numerous opportunities to stop and meditate or think about what we just read. Then we are given an oppertunity to declare the truths that God used Paul to write. As unbiasedly as I can I want to recommend this book to any person who is seeking a closer walk with God. This book will challenge you and the truth's about God that are written will inspire you.

5.0 von 5 Sternen A Devotional that takes you deeper! 25. Juni 2012

I've been so long reading this as I've been dipping into it for daily readings, which I then try and meditate on all week, that I felt I must get on and write a review before I finish it. This is such a mind expanding, challenging devotional that I can't rate it enough!

Sound biblical basis, founded on what is in the scripture not anyone elses teaching, but ok, maybe also what Lynn thinks! She carefully explains all, so there is no doubt on what she sees as meditation and the process of declaring in your life what you believe. She then takes Paul's writings as each reading's basis and explains with enough personal anecdote and challenging thoughts to get the old grey cells ticking over and then into your personal prayer and mediation time . I found her section on your Love walk really challenging and profound. Sound theology.deeply spiritual words and declarations. Brilliant!

5.0 von 5 Sternen Knowing God's Promises 31. Juli 2012
Von P. Wildes - Veröffentlicht auf
Format:Taschenbuch|Verifizierter Kauf
How do we grow strong in our relationship to God so we are able to stand firm, make a godly difference in this world, and help to shepherd our loved ones into the kingdom? We need to know God better, know His promises, and be reminded of what is pure, lovely, right and true. This book is an excellent resource to get us into the Word of God so we can live with our faces toward the light. 2 Peter talks about being 'stirred up by way of reminder...' and this book does just that: reminds us of the precious and very great promises that God has for his children.
4.0 von 5 Sternen Learn Biblical Meditation 4. Dezember 2013

Meditate and Declare is a book about a method of scriptural meditation and use of declaration along with plenty of examples and ways to put these into practice. The method presented seems to be generally a good way to turn any passage into a meditate and declare experience. There’s a lot of good meaty stuff in here but I would change or at least tweak the way it is presented to make it easier to consume.

The first two chapters seemed like they would have been better with less points but more fleshed out, highlighted, bolded, summarized, something.

The meditation points are actually questions to ask yourself. That’s one helpful way to use it. You could also ask God those same questions. The declarations are biblically based affirmations, worded positively, but not all using exclusively scriptural wording. None of them seemed wrong to me however. I would also ask for God’s help around those meditation questions and declarations and thank Him for answering the prayers or promises before exclusively using them only as affirmations.

This book explores concepts presented in seven of Paul’s letters, some issues addressed being, real relationship with God, Holy Spirit control, full surrender, fruit of the Spirit, armor of God, steadfastness and dying to self.

Do not read this book straight through like a story book. Meditation and going deep takes time. I recommend taking only one of the meditations per day. They are not divided up into daily chunks in the book though, so you would have to do this yourself. This will take over 60 days if you do the recommendation to do one of them for 21 days, otherwise I counted 45 individual meditations, not including the first two separate chapters of reading.

If you like to learn new or deeper ways to meditate or study God’s Word then you will love this book.
