Master Shots looks like the book to get, when looking for a summery of camera techniques commonly used in hollywood productions to pimp up your own 5D indie flick.
Granted there are of some of these techniques (read: camera moves and positioning) in here, not often would I call them "advanced" and instead of "100" I would have opted for less, but with much broader explanation.
Also, when talking about the visual language of movies, you should really consider how to present this insight in the industry.
Muddy black and white screenshots, hardly discernible and some very, very, very basic CGI renderings of the same set up, giving hardly any further usable explanation of the shot, well when talking about making low-budget movies look more "expensive", maybe the book itself shouldn't look like the xeroxed copy of a 90ies fanzine...
I'm sure the author knows what he's talking about, I would welcome a KindleFire version of this book, with more, full color screenshots (or discernible b/w) and more detailed drawings/renderings of each setup.
Two stars for people, who are really starting out or haven't shot before.
