The final chapter, putting a close to the original Marvel Zombies story, brings us 5 issues each about a different character/set of characters. The first issue has us focusing on Spider-Man, whom, if you remember, with Giant-Man, Wolverine, The Hulk, and others, was cast into another dimension via the teleportation device that Reed Richards had built. Spider-Man finds himself back in his college days where he first encountered his enemies. However, zombie Spidey takes a different approach to taking down his enemies; eating them! In the second issue, Giant-Man is tossed into the past where Tony Stark is troubling with alcohol issues and, after Giant-Man infects the Stark building, it's up to James Rhodes to take over for Tony in the Iron Man suit and come to the rescue! In issue three, we see Wolverine where he's put in the past where Kitty Pryde would soon join the X-Men team. Kitty comes across zombie Spidey while Wolverine battles himself and Spider-Man tries to come up with an antidote. However, the hard part will be getting normal Wolverine's blood! Issue 4 sees the Hulk coming across the Sentry after the Hulk and Sentry are infected by their enemies thanks to Giant-Man. In the final issue, the Avengers assemble as Sentry, Moon Knight, Quasar, Super-Skrull, Sub-Mariner, Thundra, and Quicksilver. However, it's up to Spidey, the Hulk, Wolverine, Iron Man, and the others to put a stop to this flesh-buffet and Spider-Man uses an old foe in order to put a stop to it! However, to prevent the plague from spreading, it takes a special power only one set of being have in order to put the plague to rest!
So, this series really puts a stop to the original Marvel Zombies storyline. But, it's a good ending to the series. It's a fun read for each character and you can see how the writers wrote the dialogue to be kind of campy at times to fit with the time period of being way in the past. All the parodies and funny lines are thrown in there as well as an extensive cover gallery at the end of the book. Overall, it was a good read and one I recommend especially if you have Zombies 1 and 2 and Dead Days.

Set after the events of Marvel Zombies 2, Marvel Zombies Return picks up right where the previous Zombies 2 installment left off and features Marvel Zombies Spider-Man, Giant Man, and Wolverine. There are 5 issues in this book and each focuses on a different Marvel Zombie until the final issue where all the zombies finally meet.
Issue #1 features zombie Spider-Man transported to a 1970's Marvel universe. Right off the bat you can tell this will be great! An unrelenting mix of gore, brutal deaths, dark humor, zombie parody, and 1970's style; this is my favorite Marvel Zombies tale which shows just what would happen if Spider-Man and his foes held nothing back! It will send your zombie-senses tingling!
Issue #2 has zombie Giant Man transported to Iron Man's base of operations circa 1979 during his "Demon in a Bottle" story arc.
This issue is pretty much just zombies taking over Stark International while Tony is hopelessly drunk.
Issue #3 is when zombie Wolverine makes his grand entrance in Tokyo, Japan where Kitty Pryde and Wolverine are fighting off the Hand ninjas. Ever wanted to see Wolverine vs. Wolverine? Well here you go!
Issue #4 starts with Hulk on his way back to Earth after the events of Planet Hulk. Hulk is out for blood but only finds a horde of zombies in his path!
Issue #5 is where all the Marvel Zombies finally cross paths. This issue really ties all the others together and has a great surprise which leads to the conclusion of these super powered zombies' stories. I won't spoil anymore!
The Spider-Man chapter alone makes this a great read! If you haven't read the previous Marvel Zombies books, don't worry, this title can stand on its own and won't confuse any newcomers to the Marvel Zombie universe.
