Chuck has done us all a great service. There is a rich and varied world of project management approaches that lie between the traditional waterfall approaches and the complete agile approaches often characterized by Scrum and XP. It is that rich world of approaches in the "gap" that he shows provide options for organizations as they leave the comfort of the controlled world of waterfall approaches and evolve towards the agile world. The focus is more at the strategic and tactical levels than the operational levels and so the reader will have to consult the rich lietrature for the "how tos". The book is a valuable addition to my extensive library! Get it. You won't regret the investment.
