This recording also exists as a DVD, and perhaps that should be one's choice. On CD only, there are some problems. Verdi himself prefered a Lady with an ugly voice. However Olha Zhuravel as Lady Macbeth not only has a harsh voice, she also sings with a very disturbing vibrato. This is a young soprano and she already sings Turandot. With such a worn and teard voice and with such a vibrato, I think that she has taken on these dramatic roles much too early. Other participants are acceptable, no more. The conducting is good, the sound is excellent. The pictures in the leaflet are very, very beautiful and interesting, so go for the DVD!
