First I must say that the book(s) by J.R.R. Tolkien and the movie may have the same name,but they are completely different.With this movie, director Peter Jackson has created his own works based on the book but formed by Jacksons own ideas and his interpretations. I recommend this "official movie guide" to everybody who liked the film "The Lord of the Rings". It contains many pictures from the set and it is described how a cinema version of this huge piece of literature was realized.

I love this book! I bought it right after I saw the movie, and I'm glad I did. This guide offers great pictures, and lots of info and behind-the-scenes stuff! Every actor (and his/her character in the movie) is protrayed on two pages, and there are whole chapters telling you just how they did all the little things that make this movie so great. I'd been wondering about how they shot the scenes in which the hobbits are standing right next to some of the other actors, and it was fascinating to read about the filming-process! I do hope that similar books will be published to accompany the other two movies!
