In my opinion this book is of little value if you have been working with any "modern" computer at all. The level is very low, e.g. it explains on 12 pages (keeping in mind the book has only about 190 pages) how to click and drag the mouse (single-click; double-click; press; press-and-drag). To me this book, is for the content it delivers way overpriced. If you are looking for a starter book on mac os x, I would highly recommend going for the "Mac OS X: The Missing Manual, Tiger Edition" which is excellent to get you started.

I have bought & will by any book by Robin Williams: so informative & delightful is she! The most complex engineering/task is rendered doable in her capable hands.

Good intro book to iMac 24. November 1999

As a computer teacher, I like this book because it is a well-written and easy to understand reference book on the newest Mac. I would have liked to have seen more step by step illustrations and less babble. The next version will hopefully read less like a college textbook and more like a how-to.

If you only buy ond Mac how-to book, buy this one.
