Favors for my Sister's Shower - Turned Into Additional Income :)

When my sister-in-law was pregnant, she asked if I would host her baby shower. I took on the challenge and while researching for different types of party favors online, I came across this book. I am so happy I made this small investment because not only did it turn out to be a great hit at her shower, but a few of her guests asked if I would mind making specialty soaps for them.
I already work from home, but this has become a nice, steady stream of additional income for my family as my husband is going back to school to finish his degree and I will be the breadwinner for a while.
As for making even more revenue, we get what we put into it and I'm doing this smart: IN STEPS. And that is why this guide is so perfect for a beginner, like myself.
Which leads me to the "soap connoisseur's" negative review - if she read the description closely, she'd see it's for beginners and I'm not sure why someone "advanced" in soap making would need a starter's guide in the first place. We all have to start somewhere, and personally I'd feel quite overwhelmed if I went in over my head and started at an advanced level. I'd suggest you get off your SOAP BOX - couldn't resist.

Disappointed. Was expecting some great ideas for favors but this (little) book is full of fluff and no ideas at all. It looks like they did a "cut & paste" from chapter to chapter. I sent it back to get a $.56 credit. I spent $14.95 for it, so this was a big loss for me.
And no pictures. I expected to see some unique pictures of things I could incorporate into my
little business.

I came across this book and found it incredibly helpful! I'm in the process of making major life decisions and work being a big part of it. The idea of working in the comforts of home with something that sounds so fun is so enlightening!! The ideas provided in this book have given me the creative edge!! Love it!
