There are a lot of "make money" books for sale online and many of them a bit sketchy, so I feel compelled to leave a review that is a bit longer and more detailed than what I'd usually write.
I am giving this book 3 stars as I just started following the plan in the book and it is still too early to tell whether it will work for me on a longterm basis. I am impressed so far, but have yet to see a huge money yet so I'm rating it right in the middle.
This book is a system to make money by selling other people's stuff, otherwise known as "affiliate marketing." Even the largest sites online, like Amazon, have an affiliate program, so in the general sense, it's a legitimate opportunity. You could actually use this to sell things on Amazon, if you want.
This system of making money is nothing new. I have known about affiliate marketing for years and used to have a blog full of affiliate links. I made a few thousand over the life of it, which was nice spending money, but not "quit your job" money. I gave up on the blog but am not starting from scratch with my knowledge of online business, so keep that in mind when you read this review. If you are starting from square one and have no idea about how to use a computer, it may take you a little longer to get things rolling. Also know that, if you're looking for quick money, you should look elsewhere. It can take you a month or longer to collect affiliate commissions.
The trick to making money with affiliate marketing is traffic. If you have enough traffic, you will make money. I recently read statistics about a popular personal-development blogger who makes $40,000/month from affiliate links. This guy is just a normal person like you or me, so it can happen. Most people are making a little less though.
If you have a blog, this book will show you how to make more money from it. It shows you some good tricks that go beyond simply posting links. It dissects what other people are doing and lets you learn from those things.
Does it work? It can work. It will take some effort though. No business runs itself. That should be obvious to you but with a name like "Laptop Lifestyle" and picture of a guy sitting on the beach, maybe not.
Regardless of what the author makes it look like on the cover, he's not sitting on the beach all day. It's obvious from the techniques he mentions that he is treating his online business like a job and putting in the needed effort to make it successful. If you're willing to get your hands dirty, you have a good chance at making money. If not, you'll be lucky to make more than a few bucks.
PROS: If you are interested in building a business where there is no customer service, affiliate marketing is a great opportunity. There is a lot of money to be made and plenty of people are doing just that.
CONS: It takes some work to get this business going. Technically, you don't need a website or any computer knowledge, but it's a big plus and I recommend at least some knowledge of these things.

simple and easy to follow - good for beginners and intermediates

I am always looking to make more money online and recently purchased this and a few other books to help me do just that. This book really got me thinking and I came away with a lot of good ideas.
As far as details and a specific plan go, this is a good one, so if you are looking for something that says, "Step one, do this. Step two, do this. Step three, do this," with very specific examples from the author and others, this would be a good match for you. It is also flexible enough that you will be able to use it on an existing website, if you already have a blog or something.
This book, in summary, is about how to be an "affiliate" and make money selling things for other people. It's a pretty simple business, where you have somebody click on a special link, they buy from the person you send them to, and you get paid a referral fee. It's not unlike referring somebody to a local business and having them give you a gift for the referral.
There are some people making big money doing this. Will this book get you to that level? Probably not. It's a short book that can be read in just a few hours. It does have good information though and I do feel it's a good start that will give you guidance to make extra money that you wouldn't have had otherwise.
I recommend this book for beginner to intermediate people. If you can follow directions, you will be fine. The system is very clear, with exact steps to follow but not so rigid that everybody ends up with the exact same business when done. In other words, there is a good structure here that has some room for you to move around in. For example, if you have a certain hobby and want to make money within that hobby, this system in the book will allow you to do that.

Quick Read With New Internet Marketing Ideas

I just finished the first book of the series. Since I read a ton of books about internet business I assumed there wouldn't be any new ideas, but I was wrong. I was really impressed when the author wrote about how to create a 'tour' to maximize your marketing.
This is not a get rich quick book. It doesn't talk about becoming a millionaire over night by doing 3 simple things. Instead it details a process that can start to make you small amounts of money on the internet. Once you multiply the process, then you can make a living.
The book was very easy to read, and would be an excellent starting guide for someone new to internet business.
