Nicht nur an das Fachpublikum, auch und gerade an interessierte Leihen richtet sich dieses, opulent bebilderte Buch.Alle bedeutenden und charakteristischen Funde werden sowohl chronologisch als auch thematisch geordnet vorgestellt.Die Qualität der Bilder rechtfertigt den hohen Preis.Das österreichische Projekt versteht es (in Kombination mit dem Textband)sich der vollen Bandbreite der keltischen Kultur zu stellen....und sie, auch für den heutigen Betrachter "sichtbar" zu machen.

I have a library copy of this book but I have not yet finished reading the book. This is an excellent book. The first introdution is in German and the second introduction is in English. There are hundreds of pictures with English and German captions, showing archaeological sites, and objects primarily found in graves. I had thought that the Celts were mostly in Ireland and England but the center of culture was spread over a wide part of continental Europe. Various pictures clearly show the influence of Scythians (gold objects) and Greek culture. I will eventually buy a copy of the book.
