This book, Juice: Recipes for Juicing, Cleansing, and Living Well, has so much more in it than recipes for juicing. It has recipes for life. It starts out with the stories of those that started the company and wrote the book. How they got into juicing and how it changed their lives.
They go on to explain what's in your juice and what's not, and why they are important. They even share how to get your bodies pH balanced.
They give great details for what to look for when choosing a juicer, stocking your pantry, storing your produce, and some amazing juice boosters.

When they get into the recipes...they are much simpler than I expected. When reading the section on green drinks I couldn't help but wonder how you could swallow one of them. Kale in a drink, really? Sorry I am not one to adventure much with food...or drink. But I did and...I liked it. My husband however, cannot understand my insistence on putting Avocado in every smoothie now:) And kale.

This book has sections on Greens, Roots, Citrus, sweets and milk. It is much more in depth than I am willing to venture right now though when I get there I will be very happy I have this amazing reference to consult with.

I just purchased my breville juice fountain crush and a juice cleanse online (JusbyJulie) and really liked all the positive feedback for the pressed juicery and on the website I saw this book and what luck! Its not only recipes which there are plenty and all of the recipes they say they use as well as many more great variations. It's also a book perfect for the coffee table, life lessons and stories the authors share to help you with your journey to a healthier lifestyle. Great simple clean book! It's great to open to a recipe bring it with and create it without internet searching tii!

This is just the kind of recipe book that I like to read, plenty of recipes utilizing things I already have in the house. There isn't anything worse than reading a delicious-sounding recipe only to realize that I have to make a trip to the market to gather specialty ingredients. The authors, who are the founders of Pressed Juicery, give readers a wide variety of juices to choose from. I could tell that they are passionate about improving health by sharing the benefits of juicing.

A great thing about this book is that the authors give readers a lot of ideas we can use to adapt juices, depending on our tastes. I'm not very creative in the kitchen and do not spend much time experimenting. However, while reading this wonderful book, I was inspired to be a little more flexible with my juicing.

This book offers more than just juicing recipes. Readers also get recipes they can make with the leftover pulp. This really appealed to me because I hate to waste parts of the fruits or vegetables. There are also very simple recipes to follow to make your own almond milk. I've read about making your own almond milk in other books, but the instructions in this one were much easier to follow. Finally, there are very clear instructions for readers interested in doing a juice cleanse.

I think anyone interested in juicing would enjoy this book. Experienced juicers will benefit from the recipes utilizing leftover pulp, and maybe get some ideas for a larger variety of juices. Readers new to the world of juicing will benefit from the clear instructions and explanations of the benefits of juicing. Anyone would benefit from the health benefits of juicing.

It is a rare book that I will not lend out to friends. I usually only hang on to books that I use everyday or want to read again and again. This is one of those books that I will definitely hang on to!

This book is an interesting way to bring healthier foods into your daily life. It’s effectively organized into three parts: juicing, recipes, and cleansing. The table of contents is very helpful in navigating the book, and gives a good sense of what to expect from each section. It’s more than a recipe book. It’s an information guide on how to choose a juicer, what enzymes and nutrients are in fresh pressed juices, the physical (internal and external) benefits of juicing and cleansing, and so much more.

The recipes are easy to prepare, and don’t contain a laundry list of ingredients. The practical sections cover anything from sweet to savory, roots to fruits, and citrus to milk. The back of the book even gives measurement conversions for those who use metric or Celsius scales.

I haven’t tried the savory recipes yet, but some of my favorites that I’ve prepared so far are the Chia Almond Smoothie, (delicious, although I omitted the mango) Almond Milk, (with a bonus recipe for Almond meal cookies) and the easy-peasy Watermelon Mint fruit juice.

The quality of this book is excellent. The hard cover is sturdy and smooth, and JUICE is clearly seen on the spine when upright on a bookshelf. The pages have a semi-gloss feel and there are full-page illustrations are on nearly every-other page. I love recipe books with full-page photo spreads! The illustrations are inspiring, and surprisingly enough, the recipes I’ve tried look comparable.

I found the extra little tidbits, such as the worth of watermelon rinds, fascinating. The rinds have anti-fungal properties, and once chopped, they can be used in your juicer to create a mild, tasty drink that produces antioxidant effects.

If you are curious about juicing, or cleansing, or just want fun juice, milk, or smoothie recipes, this is an inspiring (and healthy) way to get on track. Highly recommended.

This picturesque book is my kind of cookbook! Full of lovely photographs. It made me want to start working on my health in a whole new way! I love those kinds of books! the

What do you do when you wake up in the morning? How do you energize, uplift, and get yourself going? do you think I ahve to ecerise and it is going to take a long time. stop and think again my friends! Just drink a green juice or another juice from this wonderful cookbook! Juice by Carly de Castro, Hedi Gores, and Hayden Slater,
so many grand recipes. One example:

The Goods: 3 or 4 dandelion green leaves (to taste), 1 large or 2 small peeled cucumbers, 2 celery stalks, 1⁄2 peeled lemon, and 1 small green or red apple.

The Benefit: Detox.

Why it Works: "Dandelion greens are antioxidant and diuretic, plus they detoxify and cleanse the liver, kidneys, and digestive system They're a real nutritional powerhouse."

My kind of cooking. So easy to make every day at any hour! ? The book not only provides a hundred or so recipes for juices, blends, and milks, but it also is extremely pleasing to browse.The Goods: 1 peeled pink or ruby red grapefruit, and a small handful of fresh mint leaves.

The Benefit: Curbing cravings.

Why it Works: "This is one of our simplest juices. Grapefruit contains soluble fiber called pectin which help fight hunger. That's why grapefruit is commonly included in weight-loss regimens."

There are so many keeper recipes such as 1 peeled grapefruit, 3 celery stalks, 1⁄2-inch peeled fresh ginger, and a pinch of cinnamon (optional).
The Benefit: Energy boosting.

Why it Works: "Theses ingredients combine to get your metabolism and energy levels fired-up."

Carrot Bread
As you will notice once you start getting your juice on, juicing means pulp. A lot of pulp can build up when you extract the juice from your produce. The amount depends on the type of juicer you have, how much produce you are using, and how many times you run it through the machine. When you’re finished juicing, don’t just toss all that yummy pulp! It is full of nutrition and fiber, and it can be incorporated into some delicious recipes, like this wonderful carrot bread.
Makes 6 to 8 servings (about 9 pieces)
11⁄2 cups carrot pulp
4 organic eggs
1⁄4 cup melted organic butter or ghee (clarified butter)
1 cup coconut flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1⁄2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Juice of 1⁄2 small lemon
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1⁄2 cup walnuts (optional)
2 tablespoons raisins (optional)
Preheat the oven to 325˚F and place a tray of water in the bottom of the oven. Line an 8 by 8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a generous trim.
In a mixing bowl, stir together the carrot pulp, eggs, butter, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg and set aside.
In a small bowl, stir together the lemon juice, vinegar, vanilla, and maple syrup. Add this to the carrot mixture and stir until well combined. Stir in the walnuts and raisins.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula. Bake until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean, 50 to 70 minutes.
Allow the bread to cool in the baking dish for about 10 minutes. Remove the bread from the dish and let it cool on a wire rack. Slice and serve warm or at room temp-erature. The bread will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
