I have read over the book & i fail the exam. you can't find the most important point for answering for exam questions. If you just want to learn TCP/IP, this book gives you a good concept (for only Windows NT, not for UNIX and other OS). But if you really want to pass the exam, don't rely on this book only but also buy one more book to help yourself. This book really can only gives you the TCP/IP concept on WinNT, NOT FOR ANSWERING THOSE MAJOR QUESTONS IN EXAM TO PASS. By using this book, you will able to answer those mirror questions only .

This book is good except for one very important aspect of TCP/IP: subnet masking. The author(s) gave very little explanation on determining a mask for a range of IPs. They mention in one paragraph about using more than one octect to determine a mask, but fail to give any detailed explanation. I used other books to get a thorough understanding. I'm not a novice. I've been working in IT for eight plus years. Try an O'Reilly book instead!

If you want to start getting knowledge on TCP/IP, this is the book for you! It will help you pass the exam, but if you want to be an TCP/IP expert you will need to buy other books and info. I expected a better multimedia show, but it is OK!

Watered down TCP/IP info
I found this book good for giving a basic understanding of TCP/IP, but I can't see how anyone could pass the TCP/IP exam using this book... too watered down. Lesen Sie weiter...

Strong practices / weak explanations.

The only book you need (as well as practical experience)
I would say the book is sufficient for passing the exam. However, practice is also necessary and I read the book through twice as this was necessary to make all the pieces fit... Lesen Sie weiter...

Alright, but not the best MS Press Training Kit.
