In Due Time is a suspense/thriller about America's descent into the future and a man who fights his way back through time to save the one man who can set things right.

In 2036, America has just shaken off the shackles of a one world government. Led by a modern day Washington named Alexander Birch, our country is rising from the ashes, but Birch has a problem. Prompted by a mysterious stranger he reaches out to a famous writer and patriot named Howard Spence.

The stranger is a time traveler named Joshua Lance who had sacrificed a life of favor serving his international masters to save the one man who could bring America back from the ashes; Birch. Spence tells how Lance had traded his own security and wealth he had carefully crafted for a larger cause and more importantly why.

In Due Time has the flavor of Vince Flynn meets Harry Turtledove. It is one man's journey of discovery into his own heart then back through time for his last greatest adventure.

5.0 von 5 Sternen A "Guiding Hand" for the Future, 9. April 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
A well written Orwellian near future which I almost believed to be true (Just joking) with a time travel twist to the plot. This New World Order and neo-revolution genre has picked up in popularity the last few years with writers such as Orson Scott Card and others. However, J. Keith Jones is on par with these other famous writers with his first story.

He treats this story line with a fresh approach. A "Guiding hand" through time travel to influence the future by creating the "correct" alternative history and shape the future back to a new American Republic. Read the book, I do not want to spoil the plot.

When an author makes me fantasize and reflect further about the subject, he has done his job and this book is great. Well worth the price and time to read it. It was a page turner and I recommend it to readers who enjoy the alternative future & time travel story lines.

Jones hits a home run with his first novel, "In Due Time". An exploration of the consequences a New World Order offers after America relinquishes her sovereignty, abolishing the Constitution. Imagine forfeiting your Right to Keep and Bear Arms to only find yourself living under an increasingly tyrannical government. What rights would be further impinged as the government attempts to abolish freedoms many American's often take for granted; Freedom of Religion, Press, Assembly, Unlawful Search and Seizure? "In Due Time" explores the fictional transition of American citizenship to subjugate. The plot evolves to identify the forethought our Founding Father had by guaranteeing American's with the recourse provided by the Second Amendment.

Once I began reading In Due Time, it was hard to put down. Mr. Jones' writing style is graceful and polished. The story captured my interest in the first few chapters and I was very motivated to continue reading to find out how the story would eventually conclude. I seldom read fiction, or science fiction, for that matter, but I am glad I read this book - it was very enjoyable. As I read the book, the scenes and the characters seemed to come to life.

5.0 von 5 Sternen I Loved This Book! 14. Dezember 2011
Von RG Yoho - Veröffentlicht auf
Some of America's greatest literature and movies have been known to examine how the life of one man could have an impact on others and society as a whole. The plot has been done many times, in many forms. I have always been intrigued by them.

However, what sets these stories apart from the others is the individual writer's skill at spinning a compelling story.

J. Keith Jones has created a masterpiece of the genre with his book, "In Due Time."

Along with a great story, Jones has also displayed an exceptional knowledge and insight into history, politics, and current events. He skillfully weaves these elements into the book, creating a story that grabbed my attention from the first page, and wouldn't let me go until I finished the book.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes thrillers, science fiction, or just good quality literature, no matter what the genre!

Got me on page one. Keith Jones takes us to the future, but his story fits here and now. $2.99 is a deal... buy this book before it hits market value.

`In Due Time' raises civil liberties issues of concern to all
F. Paul Valone

The broad brushstrokes of Keith Jones' new novel, `In Due Time,' paint an engaging work unafraid to show what can happen when Americans forget why the Framers gave us our Bill of Rights ...
