The Cure of Imperfect Sight by Treatment Without Glasses [Englisch] [Taschenbuch]

Bates, who once practiced traditional ophthalmology and held in high esteem by his collegues, eventually rejected the theories that the traditional eyecare community accepted as fact. After observations that led him to question some of the commonly held beliefs in ophthalmology and medical science in general, he began many years of experimental work and eventually had to conclude that the orthodox theories regarding the eye and sight were wrong. He taught patients with all sorts of vision and eye troubles how to cure their poor sight by the use of the mind and relaxation.

Unfortunately for the world, Bates's work was generally ignored by the medical establishment and still is today, for numerous reasons. There are still many teachers of his methods throughout the world who are constantly helping people to cure their imperfect sight. They and many of their students have experienced how effective it is. I myself am not a (trained) teacher of the Bates Method, but practicing it has provided enormous benefit for my vision and mind.

If you get this book, read it extremely carefully. The simple language belies a drastically different way of thinking than most people in our society are used to.

Most of the things that Dr. Bates talks about are completely lost on today's average opthamologist (or my doctor anyway). It is good to get some research from another source, and not feel so dependant on the current methods, which seem to require that my vision keep getting worse, until I get some disease that requires surgery, and all at a great cost to me. While sufficiently technical and specific regarding questions of the eye's construction and abnormalities due to strain, Dr. Bates' book is most clearly written and I have recommended it to a few friends.

This modern book assembler has altered Dr. Bates work by adding un-natural treatments, advice. (I am referring to the book referred to by De angelis David in reply to other reviews, comments stating it contains a added method; avoid all books that are altered with the harmful PowerVisionSystem, Plus Lens treatment.)

Dr. Bates original treatments in the book are true, effective Natural Eyesight Improvement but the added modern PowerVisionSystem and Plus Lens treatments are not Dr. Bates work, they are harmful. The PowerVisionSystem involves using dangerous Plus Lenses and un-natural eye stretching... exercises. It causes cataract, astigmatism, blur... Pilots, Kids, Seniors, all people avoid this dangerous method! The book assembler is the same author of another book that advises Plus Lenses.

That is not a picture of Dr. Bates on your book cover. It's misleading. Dr. Bates cured himself naturally and did not need to wear eyeglasses. Dr. Bates books alone, contain the cures for myopia, presbyopia, astigmatism... and is all that a person needs to gain clear eyesight and healthy eyes.

I strongly disagree with the 'Power VisionSystem, Plus Eyeglass Lens Treatment' that the assembler added to this book. It causes cataract, many eye problems, interferes with true natural healing. It is harmful to the eyes; Plus lenses are reading glasses, close vision glasses, magnifiers. I meet many seniors citizens and also younger people that have worn reading glasses for a few years or longer and it often results in cataracts, other eye damage. Eye circulation, lens, retina... health and the vision impair fast, immediately when reading glasses are used. The Plus Lens method increases this problem. Most Eye doctors are now placing a eyeglass lens prescription in the cataract replacement lens inside the eyes during cataract surgery; the person is then trapped with eyeglasses inside the eye. This maintains, increases the strain, tension, vision impairment, damages the eyes health, prevents natural eyesight improvement. The implanted eyeglass lens forces the eye, vision to remain impaired and; if Natural Eyesight Improvement is practiced or if the eye naturally, on its own tries to return to normal function; the eyeglass lens in the eye will not fit, work with the improved eye condition, shape, new improved focus of light rays. Unclear vision will occur. Same effect if the eye, vision becomes more impaired (which the implanted eyeglass lens will cause); the eyeglass lens will have to be removed by another eye operation.
If the eyes lens during cataract surgery is not altered, replaced with a eyeglass lens prescription near-sight, far-sight, astigmatism, bifocal.., then Natural Eyesight Improvement may be effective.

The original true Bates method alone is enough and is safe, natural. Dr. Bates would not want this harmful method attached to his book. It is completely against the Bates method.

Please post the truth on your forum, books. Let the many people that have been injured by Plus Lenses and are still stuck in eyeglasses after years of Plus Lens use post comments.
I know you eyeglass guys, un-natural teachers, dis-honest eye doctors out there hate me, but I will keep the public informed about the truth, harm eyeglasses cause.

This author always responds by sounding like he is an expert, scientist and accuses me of being naive, uneducated. This is how eye doctors speak to patients when the doctor wants to sell eyeglasses, surgery and hide Natural Eyesight Improvement from the patient. I have used Natural Eyesight Improvement for 37 years, it works and is safe. I see clear close and far. See my reviews, comments, evidence against this author and his co-authors other harmful Plus lenses books.

I listed the forums where a co-author of this author's other book, Otis Brown, who advises this Plus Lens method posted the truth; that he did develop cataract, has a myopia eyeglass lens prescription implanted in his eyes, still has unclear vision, but I am not allowed to post any links on Amazon.com. I have saved them for evidence.
