This is an essential continuation to the story Peter David had started several years before. The issues here continue with the Hulk's association with the Pantheon and deepen the mystery surrounding this "fused" Hulk. David displays his usual strengths as a writer here in all the issues, with excellent characterization, clever dialogue, and good measures of humour and wit thrown in. A particular standout is a story involving a shrunken Hulk attempting to take on the Abomination, beneath the city no less. The art by Dale Keon, when it appears, is delicious, but unfortunately appears inconsistently throughout the volume. Marvel is taking its sweet time releasing these volumes, which I think is unfortunate. By now, at least two per year makes good sense. Whatever the pace, I highly recommend this volume and the entire series of Peter David Visionary collections. These stories have aged well.
