Get ready for a penultimate sequel, a real rollercoaster experience in this beautiful fantasy land 26. Dezember 2013
Von Denis Vukosav - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
"How to Betray a Dragon's Hero" by Cressida Cowell is eleventh installment in popular series for children "How To Train Your Dragon".

In this book, the readers are continue to follow the adventures of little boy named Hiccup who has the mysterious ability to talk to dragons and his dragon partner Toothless.
Hiccup and his small team of friends are trying to regain the Lost Things back from Alvin the Treacherous, the wicked king of Wilderwest and his mother. The matters are becoming even more complicated by the fact that at the same time they have to flee the Dragon Furious...

"How to Betray a Dragon's Hero" book is basically setting up for the final series installment, and with this one series became much more dangerous and darker compared to previous episodes.
Also, this sequel at its end has a great cliffhanger that will keep readers impatient until the release of the last twelfth continuing, offering lot of action, twists and turns that makes reading of its 400 pages to pass in a moment.

Although the target audience for this book is preteen kids, it's nice to see that the author didn't fall for clichés - her hero is equally passing through successes and failures, she's not making him invincible which is a good lesson for young readers.
Additionally it was interesting to see the changes in Snotlout character through this book, while he as character is becoming more developed and beginning to be much more popular character than you might expect.

So if you read earlier installments, in front of you is another exciting experience before the saga of the boy and the dragon will be finished; this sequel is anything but boring, so get ready for a real rollercoaster experience in this beautiful fantasy land...

You have to read chapter 17!! Amazing chapter about being a hero, betrayal, identity, and forgiveness 30. Juni 2014
Von T. Regan - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I am reading this book with my 8 year old son and I am blown away. We can't stop reading, and once we got to chapter 17 I was practically moved to tears. It is a stunning chapter with great dialogue about what it means to be a hero and leader, and what type of person should be king. It talks about why Snodlout NEEDS to hate hiccup because if he didn't... he would feel... other emotions like loss, grief, and bad about his own identity. They have a sword fight in this chapter, and I have gone back to read it 3 times now. Great book and great chapter...

Dragons! 8. Mai 2014
Von Maria Sørlie - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verifizierter Kauf
Just awesome! Impeccable writing? Check. Humour? Check. Good plot with everything coming together at the end even though not always in the favour of the characters? Check.

I like how there is nothing that makes you think: "Hey! That couldn't happen to Y because then X would just swoop in and do this or that." You know what I mean?

Instead everything that is laid out at the beginning fits with everything else in the end, like: "No, X had to go to that other place in order to that thing that let to the incident that shaped the circumstances for Y. Making it completely natural that Y gets out of a certain predicament with the help of this and that". This is not a weird retelling of events from the book. I am just trying to explain myself and doing a horrible job at it. :S :P

Some spoilers ahoy!

In addition to being awesome, this book also tries to teach us/kids that people are usually bad for a reason and that they can be good if given the chance, and it does a wonderful job of it, if somewhat sad. I never thought I would cheer for Snotlout. And feel so sorry for him. And MISS him, even.

I can really recommend this book, along with all the others in the series, of course.

ATTENTION EVERY CHILD AND EVERY ADULT, WELCOME TO THE BEST SERIES EVER! 5. Juli 2014
Von J. C. Goldenberg - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

My 10 year old son and I LOVE this series! I can honestly say that in all my years of reading and reviewing hundreds of books, this series is in my all time favorites. Rarely do I come across adult books, that even begin to compare to character development and story lines that these books do! Cressida Cowell, I know that you are writting the last book in the series right now, but please come out with more book quickly! I live for the days when your books are released and I am so sad once I am done, knowing I will have to wait to experience such splendor again.

Once you start reading it , you can't stop !! 15. Juni 2014
Von Kaustabh Sharma - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com

I found this book to be extremely addictive. What's different about this compared to other how to train your dragon books is that its much more dangerous and has a lot more suspense. The whole story is spread out in just one day. I recommend this book to people who love suspense and the previous how to train your dragon books. However , if you do not like cliffhangers then don't get this book.
