Ordentlich gegliedert, mit Zeichnungen und Hintergrundinformationen. Man erhält einen Überblick über die unterschiedlichen Typen und Ausführungen und kann sich bestens über technische Details informieren. Dabei bleibt dank der guten Auswahl stets der Gesamtüberblick gewahrt.
Ein sehr praktisches Arbeitsmittel für alle, die sich mit Hochhäusern beschäftigen! Empfehlenswert, entspricht der deutschen Ausgabe.

When I think of the word "manual", I think of a detailed explanation and how to guide. This book provides neither. It is a collection of papers by various authors on various aspects of high-rise design. It wasn't detailed enough in the structural engineering arena for me to get much out of it (i.e. I already knew the material). The intended target audience for this book is practicing professional architects.

This is a great book for anyone interested in high rises because it includes information on every topic required. The book tackles various subjects such as development, management, site, soils, structural design, facade, building systems and fire protection. in general, it is a great resource book and i highly recommend it!

This book features great technical information and is very thorough. I was hoping for a few more floor plans showing the design of cores and their relation to floor plates. Nevertheless, very useful to have.
