This is the first book to make this ancient knowledge available to the West. The foundation of healing love is the cultivation transformation and circulation of sexual energy known as ching. Ching energy is creative generative energy that is vital for the development of chi (vital life-force energy) and shen (spiritual energy). Ching is produced in the sexual organs and it is energy women lose continually through menstruation and child bearing. Mantak Chia teaches powerful techniques developed by Taoist masters for the conservation of ching and how it is used to revitalize women's physical mental and spiritual well-being. Among the many benefits conferred by these practices are a reduction in the discomfort caused by menstruation and the ability to attain full-body orgasm. A student of several Taoist masters Mantak Chia founded the Healing Tao System in North America in 1979 and developed it worldwide as European Tao Yoga and Universal Healing Tao. This book is absolutely essential to those serious about taking their sex, and really their entire life, to the next level of spiritual fulfillment. I have so many good things to say about this book. It was discontinued for years and I finally managed to find a copy of it for my collection. After introducing the reader to some basic Taoist principles of energy and stress and spirituality, which it explains very well and in clear discourse, it launches into the main part of the book - direct application. The book is not just about sex, it is about sexual energy. First the power and different uses of sexual energy is explained, then the book goes over exercises women can do to harness the power of their latent sexual energy to vitalize their body and spirit. This part requires great practice and is frustrating sometimes because there are so many parts to the exercise and some parts take a long time to master. Completing this is best, but not necessary, before moving on to the interactive lessons of the book. Mastering these exercises in and of themselves will change your life as your find you have more energy, less or no PMS, a better attitude, and a more focused perspective. Then the next part of the book gives you a series of exercises designed to help you better enjoy and more heartily contribute to your own sexual experience. Some of these exercises are difficult or take time but I can personally guarantee you they are worth your while. The Egg Exercise alone is worthy of buying the whole book! This part also shows how to transform some of the sexual energy created during sex into spiritual energy. The third part is very interactive and spells out techniques to employ during sexual activity. And good things come to those who wait because this portion is the easiest to learn and master. Techniques range from those designed to create longer and more intense orgasms to those designed to heal physical imbalances in the body to those meant to strengthen emotional connections between partners to those meant to be a supra-meditative experience where you "touch the face of God" even. It's amazing and there is something for anybody. The book concludes with a few loose ends that get tied up, including a brief section for lesbian women! Seriously, this book is an awesome and powerful tool. And it needs to be taken seriously by those who really want to awaken their entire selves, souls, hearts to the joyous experience of living. Your partner will thank you for the rest of your relationship. Most importantly, you will thank yourself for the rest of your life:)

This book helps you understand sexual energy in a hands on way (not just theoretical) and gives you concrete information and exercises on how sexual energy can be used to enhance one's life, thru sexual union with a partner or thru celibacy. This is definately the most informative book of it's kind.

I have to admit that I don't even care about the origin of the practice, about the lineage, titles or whatever - I'm only interested if when I applied a teaching and practice in my life - do I get the desired results - and I guarantee if you apply the information from this book, if you engage in the practices described, you will notice wonderful results - in terms of increased sexual magnetism, increased energy for healing, rejuvenation and spiritual growth (yes, yes, yes - you may even get rid of some wrinkles), and of course, more fabulous sex.
I have attended a workshop with Mantak Chia way back in 1987 and while I had this book, I have recently also purchased the set of videos. I find all of them valuable - workshop, because it gave us all opportunity to clarify anything we might have needed to clarify about the practice; book, because it went into greater lenghts in explaining finer points; and video set, because it's easy to follow and it's great to refresh some points one might have forgotten (after all, there is only so much one can remember after attending a two-day workshop and there's only so long that one can retain the information).
I was passionate about my practice after attending the workshop - however my practice consisted mainly from solitary practice dealing with generation and circulation of sexual energy - which I at time practiced even for 7 hours a day, during the first six months (later on, I have reduced the amount of practice) - however, certain benefits of my initial intense practice remained and have tremendously benefited me with other energy and spiritual practice I was (and still am) engaged in.
I feel deeply grateful for this book and for the teachings Mantak Chia brought to the west.
