Pressestimmen

A nail-biting chiller, which will leave readers begging for more. Be prepared for some sleepless nights. Michael Grant "A cleverly written, action-packed horror that asks the reader to imagine when haunting becomes real. An emotional thrill ride." Olivia Clements, aged 15 "This spine-chilling tale was the scariest book I've read in a long time, gripping from beginning to end with so many unexpected twists. A great page-turner and utterly terrifying." SophieScribe, Guardian Teen Books "The mystery, the suspense, and the little clues that appear in each chapter of this supernatural whodunit make it a real page-turner." Library4Delinquents

Meh's Everywhere 16. September 2014
Von Helen Taylor - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I remember the day I bought this book very clearly. Don't ask me why I remember it, since it was a pretty dull day. I was inside a large Easons store one cloudy afternoon. It was a pretty bland day. Nothing really to do. So I decided to just buy a random book from the shelf. I saw this in the teens section, and thought to myself that it had a interesting cover. Hell; it was possibly the most interesting thing I saw that day.

Sadly on the inside it wasn't interesting. Quite the opposite in fact. This book interior was exactly like the day I bought it. Grey. Boring. Bland. Plastic. One-dimensional. It was one of those books that is lifeless. When I picked it up I felt no joy, no happiness. Instead I just went "meh" and picked it up because I had nothing else to do.

Reading shouldn't be like that. You should feel joy when you read. You shouldn't feel dead inside.

And the thing is this; I actually can't say there's anything particularly wrong with this book. Its just... meh. Meh. MEH! It actually frustrates me. Writing this review is slowly making my hair white with stress. Do you know why? Because I cannot give a solid reason for why I found this book bad.

Characters: meh.

Plot: meh.

Writing: meh.

Scare-Factor: meh.

Everything: meh.

See? Meh. Meh's everywhere. That's what its like. That's all I can say. Just a bunch of meh.

So what I'm trying to say is this; this book is deprived of all life. It does not have any spark that makes it shine. Its forgettable, and spectacularly underwhelming in all factors. As mean as that sounds, it is the truth.
