From Library Journal
There are almost twice (2900) as many items in this new edition as in Walter Newsome's New Guide to Popular Government Publications (Libraries Unlimited, 1978). Dated mid-1978 to mid-1985, the publications are "of broad interest to a large segment of the general public . . . geared to the gener al reader, rather than to the profession al or technician." The annotated en tries are arranged in 83 subject areas, such as aeronautics, careers, drug abuse, energy conservation, and health care. Use guide sections explain order ing procedures. This is an excellent se lection tool for the small public or school library, a handy reference desk handbook, and a valuable resource for teachers. Louise Stwalley, Auraria Lib., Denver
