You'll be introduced to the lifestyle of the mountain people in the small village Todos Santos, you'll set on a journey after the sacred bird of all Guatemalans - quetzal. You'll find out how Guatemalan coffee, as well as the famous cardamom, is being grown and how the black community Garifuna lives on the shores of the Caribbean Sea. You'll taste the mysterious atmosphere of the ancient Mayan city Quiriguá and visit places connected with the legend about the Spanish conqueror Hernán Cortéz. The last stop on the Guatemala learning trip will be the largest spiritual center of the Old Mayan Empire - Tikal in the midst of the Petén rainforest.
