My first Calla Edition was Tales of Mystery and Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe. It is a work of extraordinary beauty and I've been collecting the various titles issued by Calla Editions since. This 2010 Calla Edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales contains a selection of stories from The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm, translated by Mrs. Edgar Lucas, and which was originally published by Doubleday, Page, and Co., New York, in 1909. There are 40 full-color plates by Arthur Rackham as well as 28 black-and-white illustrations. Each illustration is listed at the beginning of the book with page references.
