For the second time, Henri-Paul Enjames has made a major contribution to the world of identifying and the collecting of American WWII militaria. Volume 2 of the GI Collector's Guide adds to and expands the categories of equipment identified in the first volume. More emphasis has been placed upon ephemera, those paper items intended for short time use, under Army Publications and Other Printed Material. We find sections on publications and paper items of all kinds. The section on Personal Items has been expanded, as well as Sports & Recreation. A section on American POW's has been added, along with new sections on Camp Life, the Wartime Draft and Training Camps. Significant additions to Volume One's Uniforms, Mountain Troops, Female Personnel and the Medical Department have been made. Other sections; Weapons, Armored Forces and Airborne Troops have new additions. Of particular interest is the expansion of the equipment used by Army Chaplains. Here we find published photos of rare and difficult to find items used by Chaplains to hold services in the field for all three denominations. It goes without saying that this volume is essential for the library of the serious collector. The color photography is unequaled and the list price is very reasonable.
