I picked up volume one of this series, just to see what all the hype was about. (Gotham City Sirens: Union) Before long, I was in love with the series, the premise, and the story. It's a refreshing story that takes place behind the scenes of three pretty well known villains, and deals with their interaction and how they work their crises together. In this particular issue, Poison Ivy gets a taste of her own medicine as an alien plant life convinces her with his pheremones to be his mate and to cause plants to rise across the world. (As if she hasn't tried that before. LOL) Catwoman and Ivy try despately to save her, and I'll leave out the rest for spoilers sake. In the meantime Catwoman is captured in an attempt to pry Batman's true identity from her. And let's face it, ANY book with Zatanna in it is automatically better. LOL Talia Al Ghul makes a good cameo too. What I love most is the character development. They're not just psychos anymore. This series manages VERY well, to turn them into real people with real problems. I've loved the glimpses into just how powerful Ivy is, and Harley's constant heart ache over the Joker. Suffice to say, if you're a fan of the Bat titles, or just Catwoman, this is a spectacular read, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Thanks so much for your time folks.
Sincerely, R.A. McDowell
