This book is done an injustice by it's reception by the general Christian. Sincerely, I urge believers whose desire is God's glory to read this masterpiece.
After reading three of Sparks works, I can affirm what is stated of Him on the back cover of this book, his writings "serve as a beacon of light" for believers who are persistent in going deeper in their spiritual walk. In this book we discover what and who God's spiritual house is. The exposition of this theme is sure to enlighten and excite you.
He also discusses the purposes of the church, which are great and only in Christ possible. Truly it is vital that we as believers have these truths "concrete" in our hearts.
One can't help but realise that Sparks was a man who was undergoing a constant work of the Spirit in his life. He writes with a gentleness and humility which to me reflected the King he served. And for that reason alone I would highly recommend this book.
