I am a sun java certified programmer, and needed to master Jbuilder IDE in a really short time for my project. So I purchased this CD, and was able to utilizing Jbuilder in a very same day.
It does not teach you any new concepts. However, if you are new to Jbuilder and need to learn how to use Jbuilder in a really short time, this might be a good choice.
Before you buy, download and try the 4 trial lessons from Referentia web site.
The vast majority of this title (cd only, no book) is intended for users that have never even looked at the menus in JBuilder. If you've already spent a few hours playing around with JBuilder, you should know the majority of information in "Getting Started"
On the up side, this title *very* nicely integrates with the JBuilder environment. No more fumbling to keep your book open with one hand while you mouse around the environment trying to find what you're looking for.
This title is excellent at showing you exactly how to perform specific tasks. There's no real explanation as to what is going on behind the scenes, just click here, type this, etc. Expect to only spend 5-10 mins on each of the tutorials listed below.
Overall, I consider this title to be an excellent design for reference material. However, it is very unlikely that anything in this title is complicated enough for you to need to reference it later. I would almost certainly purchase Referentia JBuilder titles that contain more advanced concepts.

01 Getting Started with JBuilder Development
