After taking the course of Kevin Werbach on Coursera, I was fascinated by the possibilities of gamification. This books is a good read and sums up the challenges and the toolkit for gamification. Recommended read for designers and educators.

Ich habe online etwas über Gamification gelesen und wollte mich zu dem Thema informieren.
Nach etwas Recherche bin ich auf dieses Buch gestoßen. Sehr unterhaltsam geschrieben, informativ und günstig.
Wer sich also dafür interessiert, wie man z.B. den Arbeitsalltag etwas angenehmer gestalten kann, der liegt hier richtig.

Wir alle spielen gerne! Wer die Geheimnisse hinter dieser Motivation kennen und nutzen können, um auch andere Dinge so anziehend und packend zu machen wie Computerspiele, der wird von Kevin Werbach in diesem Buch darüber ausführlich unterrichtet.

Sehr empfehlenswert ist übrigens sein kostenloser Online-Kurs auf [...] ([...])

The book describes what to do and what NOT to do. It provides a roadmap to applying gamification to virtually any business function, without making it sound like a cure for anything.

The book is easily readable. It has a good structure and gives a great overview of the new emerging field of gamification. It references traditional literature on the topic (homo ludens, etc.) and has some insightful case-studies.

One of the most promising parts is that the book also shows to scenarios where gamifications makes matters worse. So it does not brandish it as a "cure to all evil" in business.
