Overall, this book was really helpful not just for the shelf, but also for the rotation. I felt that most of the information covered on the shelf exam was represented in some form in this book - very high yield. It was also a great outline to take notes in from practice questions and other resources you might use. My biggest complaint is that breast disease was not covered at all in this book, and there were definitely questions on the shelf exam regarding the topic. Also some of the information was outdated (screening recommendations for pap smears, availability of the new implant for contraception), but a newer edition of this book just came out last month, so maybe these things have been fixed. Regardless of the changes, it's still a book I'd recommend.
